Jupiter enters Leo on June 30th. The last time it was here was 2014. Whatever you have been holding back is about to have somewhere to go.

Let me tell you something I have noticed about Leo in the first half of 2026.
You have been patient in a way that does not come naturally to you. Jupiter has been in Cancer since last June, working in the part of your chart connected to behind the scenes stuff. Rest. Things that happen quietly. The preparation phase before the actual thing. For a sign that is built for visibility and warmth and being fully present in the room, six months of behind the scenes energy is genuinely hard. Not unbearable. Just not your natural mode.
On June 30th Jupiter moves into Leo. It stays through July 2027. The last time it was here was 2014 to 2015. I want you to think back to that period for a second. Something was probably growing in a way that felt real and exciting and like it had actual legs. That is the kind of energy that arrives at the end of this month.
June is the month you feel it building even before it officially arrives.
Venus enters Leo on June 13th
Before Jupiter shows up Venus gets there first. Venus moves into your sign on June 13th and this matters more than people usually give it credit for.
Venus in Leo is genuinely one of my favourite transits to watch. It makes you more magnetic in a specific way — not louder or more dramatic, just more yourself in a way that other people feel before they can explain it. Social things feel easier. Creative work has a natural flow to it. You stop having to try quite as hard for things to go well and they go well anyway.
If there is something you have been wanting to show people, the second half of June from the 13th onward is a real window. A piece of work. A side of yourself that has not been visible lately. A relationship where you have been showing up quietly and want to be actually seen. Venus in Leo for the weeks before Jupiter arrives is like the warm-up act. And it is a good one.
What Jupiter in Leo actually does
Jupiter expands whatever it touches. In Leo that means confidence, creativity, self-expression and the desire to be fully yourself all get room to grow. This sounds straightforwardly good and mostly it is. But I want to be honest about the whole picture because I think Leo deserves that.
Jupiter in your sign for a year is not just an invitation to shine. It is also a test of why you want to shine. The Leo who uses this transit well is the one whose confidence comes from actual belief in what they are doing rather than from needing other people to confirm it. Who creates because the work matters, not because they want to be seen creating. Who leads by making other people feel bigger, not smaller.
That version of Leo during a Jupiter year is one of the most extraordinary things in astrology. I have seen it. People who were already doing good work suddenly have a twelve month window where that work reaches people it was never going to reach otherwise. Where the right doors open at the right time. Where the thing they have been building quietly finally becomes visible in a way that matches its actual quality.
The shadow version is also real. Jupiter in Leo can inflate the ego in a way that tips into needing constant validation, taking up more space than the situation calls for, making things about yourself that were not really about you. I mention this not as a warning but as a thing to check in on occasionally. You will know if it is happening. Leos usually do.
Mercury retrograde on June 29th
One day before Jupiter arrives. Of course.
Mercury goes retrograde on June 29th in Cancer and stays that way through July 23rd. For Leo this retrograde happens in the area of your chart connected to hidden matters, rest and things you process privately. Old feelings might surface. Something you thought you had put down comes back.
The practical implication for the end of June is simple. Do not try to make major announcements or sign important things on June 29th or 30th. Jupiter arriving the same day Mercury stations retrograde is exciting but the communication around any big moves needs time to settle. Wait a week into July. The opportunity is not going anywhere. The door Jupiter opens on June 30th does not close on July 1st.
Think of the Mercury retrograde as one last clearing. A few weeks of processing before a long active period begins. June 29th
How to use June as a Leo
The first half of June before Venus arrives is still the preparation phase. Finish things. Clear things out. Decide what you want the next twelve months to build toward, because Jupiter in your sign for a full year rewards Leo who knows what they are doing with the energy rather than just reacting to whatever shows up.
From June 13th when Venus arrives, start showing up more fully. Let yourself be seen. Have the warm conversations. Put the work out.
And on June 30th when Jupiter crosses into Leo, just notice it. You probably will not need me to tell you something shifted. You will feel it. That feeling is real and it is going to be with you for a while.
The lights are coming on. Make sure you know what you want to do when they do.
